The main excitement this year revolved around the return of the derby fixture with Blackpool. The two clubs will first lock horns by the seaside in October before the return match at Deepdale in March.
Preston open the campaign at home against Hull but will see out the season away at Middlesbrough. Boxing Day will be at home to Sheffield United before festive fixtures away to West Brom and at Stoke on New Years Day.
North End travel to Blackburn in December with the return match in April whislt Easter is spent at home to Millwall and away to Fulham on the Monday.
The season has been laid out but no matter what order the games came in it was always going to be a tricky task to negotiate through the maze that is the Championship.
