Hooper was left on the bench for the start of Scunthorpe's pre-season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday as he was protected from picking up an injury with a proposed move set to be complete early next week if rumours are to be believed. Both Leeds and Middlesborough are set to compete for his signature with a fee in the region of £2.5 million being quoted.
