North End made changes with Wiseman injured so Keane reverted to right back and he proved pivotal as it was his cross early int he first half which found Graner free int he box to head home.
Preston were not fantastic ont he day but at this stage in the season it is the points that count as they managed to keep a clean sheet against Crawley who threatened at times.
The victory means that unless Preston lose all of their remaining six games they are assured of a play off spot. It is just a case of which position North End will finish the season in.
