Garner had been linked with a move to Preston many years ago but it now seems that in Westley's desperation to have as many strikers as possible he has turned to Joe Garner.
It is understood that Preston will attempt to strike up a loan deal for the striker to assist in a department where North End have fallene severely short this term.
