Lonergan has been dropped to the bench since the arrival of Iain Turner on loan from Everton and a permanent switch is expected in the summer with the long serving keeper expected to join the Toffees in a deal which should net North End around £750,000.
In the interim it is believed that Holloway may make a loan move for Lonergan as a back up at Blackpool due to a keeper shortage. A move has been mooted before and would be possible on a short term basis but would then leave Preston short of an experienced back up keeper.
