The winger was an established first team member last season but since injuring himself in pre-season Holmes has not had a look in this term. The left winger has falled behind in the pecking order with Reid, on-loan Robinson and Gallagher favoured above him.
Holmes will spend the remainder of the season at Exeter via the emergency loan system and I suspect that a decision will then be taken in the summer on his future.
