Late yesterday it appeared that Lee Holmes would be heading out on loan after Preston confirmed that there could be incoming and outgoing loans ahead of the load deadline this week.
Holmes was a regular on teh left wing but last season was replaced by Gallagher out wide. Reid was signed during the summer and now Robinson on loan has meant Holmes has fallen down the pecking order.
The winger was injured in pre-season and by the time he was fit he was behind a number of his team mates and has been restricted in terms of appearances. He joins Portsmouth until January.
