The rumour appear to be a bit far fetched with Scunthorpe asking for £1.5m for the talented striker. Leeds are set as favourites to sign Hooper as they look to bolster their attack for the new Championship season.
Hooper did used to play with new frontman Paul Hayes but realistically Preston will not be spending £1.5m on a stiker which would equal their record transfer fee paid.
