Hudson has come through the ranks at Preston and made his debut at Ellan Road when Jordan Pickford was errneously sent off a couple of seasons ago.
He was only on the bench that day due to a keeper shortage but handled himself well and has since been offered professional terms at the club. He is pushing on well but his next step is to get game time in the football league.
Neil had concerns towards the end of last season between Rudd and Maxwell with the two often inter changing. Hudson will do well to have a good season away from Deepdale much like Ben Davies did and come back in contention for a starting slot.
The young keeper has joined Bury until the start of January.
