Hughill has been recovering from a serious knee injury and sarted trainign again around six weeks ago. His path to the first team is currently blocked at Preston so he was sent out to gain fitness at Tranmere. The loan was a success with the Wirral side pulling themselves out of the relegation zone.
The striker now joins Hartkepool who are also in the League Two relegation zone hoping to lift them out of trouble and towards safety as the season nears a close.
