Hugill who had his best season at Preston last year has been constantly been lnked with a move away from the club since the start of the season. The frontman scored 13 goals last term although one of those was off his backside.

Ipswich bid for the player in January but a £2.5m offer was turned down. Since Grayson has moved to Sunderland the local press have reported that Sunderland are set to make a move for Hugill.
