Improved Performance But Only One Point

North End needed to bounce back after a dismal loss at home to Reading atthe weekend. Lowe made changes with Lindsay coming in at the back freeing up Hughes to play at left wing back. Evans started up front alongside Archer.

As per usual Preston started the slower of the two teams with Forest having the better of the first twenty minutes but thereafter the strong visiting contingent were largely quiet as Preston came back into the game.

The key chances came in the second half. Archer who was ina  borderline offisde position couldn't convert. In a separate move he was played through but his shot went narrowly wide of the post.

Preston were in charge for most of the second half but couldn't convert their dominance into all three points. It will be disappointing for the club as they now only have one point from their last two games.

The club have lost ground on the play offs and will need to pick up points away to Coventry on Saturday if they are to push themselves back up the table.
