A move was always on the cards for Harrop with a number of incoming players and his suspicious absence from the matchday squad in recent times.
Harrop was signed by Simon Grayson but the former manager left before Harrop made his first league start. The former United player has not been favoured by Alex Neil despite showing moments of quality.
The forward player has also had to overcome serious injury in his time at Preston and will hope that he can get a run of games under his belt in the second half of the season.
