Irvine Stays Put

Speculation has been intense with both Chairman and manager remaining tight lipped over the past week over the Baggies approach for the Preston boss.

Irvine has been on holiday all week with his family and has returned today ahead of pre-season training. It is believed West Brom made an official approach yesterday but Irvine declined to take West Brom up on the offer of management - it is thought they will now target Roberto Martinez as their new boss.
