Johnstone is a young keeper who supprots Preston but has been rising through the ranks at Manchester United. His path is blocked by a number of keepers above him and he has been out on loan several times including most recently at Doncaster.
His dad played in goal for Preston in the 90's before Glenn suffered a career ending knee injury in a pre-season army training camp with John Beck at the helm. Sam is currently cup tied but can play in the league and it is hoped the move is made permanent in the summer.
