Keeping The Dream Alive

Early goals from Chris Sedgewick and England player David Nugent were combined with a Brett Ormerod second half double to seal a second successive victory at the Ricoh Arena against Coventry.

The Sky Blues who had only lost one home league match in eleven suffered a heavy loss at home. The victory saw North End leap up to fourth, three points clear of seventh place with three games to go and more importantly an improving goal difference.

Preston now face struggling Leicester with new manager and ex-Blackpool boss Nigel Worthington in charge. They then face a tricky trip to Plymouth before a massive end of season clash with Birmingham who could well need a win to secure automatic promotion.
