Ryan Lowe may well be sick of travelling to Wales as the start of his tenure has seen two defeats at Cardiff and now Swansea. The league defeat away at Swansea was a disappointment.
There were limtied chances throughout the game and the performance was relatively flat in comparison to the Stoke game where Preston moutned a comeback with ten men.
Manning scored the goal from range early in the second half. It was enough to seal all three points for the hosts. It will give Lowe something to think about and he will have the rest of the season to consider what new personnel he needs if Preston are to improve next term.
