Reports at the weekend suggested that the youngster had hand in a transfer request at Oxford to force through a move to Preston. It was originally thought that Oxford wanted to keep the player until the summer.
North End had originally made two bids but reports are now surfacing that a third bid has been rejected by Oxford.The bid appears to be in excess of £700,000 but Oxford are looking for at least £1 million.
The transfer deadline is fast approaching and Alex Neil does need to bolster his squad if he is going to have any chance of progressing Preston up the table.
