Lonergan Saga Coming To An End

Simon Grayson, the Leeds boss was confident of signing his next addition to his squad this week and that player is thought to be Andy Lonergan. A fee had been agreed a while ago but due to Lonergan's daughter having health problems, personal terms were not agreed, It now seems that the keeper is ready to put pen to paper which will see the stopper move to Elland Road.

This would then have a trigger impact at North End who were initially looking to bring in Iain Turner who was on loan at Deepdale last season. Turner was always number one choice but due to a lack of keepers during pre-season, David Lucas and former United player, Roy Carroll have been on trial at the club. It is expected that Brown will sign one new keeper before the start of the season.
