Aberdeen were interested in taking May north of the border. That interest seems to have cooled and reports suggest that new boss Alex Neil wants to keep May at the club.
The striker has had a stop start two seasons at Deepdale due to injury and was not favoured upon his return to fitness by former boss Simon Grayson until the very end of the season. He has yet to show his full potential but could be an asset to the team if Neil can get the best out of him.
