The on loan defender was needed back at Huddersfield due to injuries and suspensions. The Yorkshire club asked to recall the defender and it was officially announced before the two clubs looked at the finer points of the loan agreement only to note thet there was no recall clause in the deal.
McCombe will not complete the remainder or his loan spell with Preston which concludes on 2 January 2012 when Preston face their first game of the New Year away at Rochdale.
