Missed Opportunities

Preston continued their unbeaten run with a point away at Birmingham although there will be some concern creeping in that North End at some point will need to convert these one point games into wins.

In recent times Preston have retained a settled side and after the midweek Cup game there were changes which meant the visitors reverted to a more standard league eleven.

The game was fairly entertaining with both sides having chances to open the scoring. Perhaps if both were more clinical then they would be higher up the table but as things stand a draw was probably a fair result.

Deeney hit the post early on for the home side. Iversen was also forced into making a couple of saves in either half to deny Birmingham. Preston equally had good chances with Riis, Maguire and Earl all having good attempts.

Neither side could break the deadlock and a draw was a reflection of the chances for both sides. Preston now face Stoke at home in midweek.
