Morgan has been capped 20 times by Wales and featured heavily for Ferguson whilst he was boss at Peterborugh. The Welshman has a year left on his contract but has expressed a desire to move north to be closer to his family.
Morgan is initially from Wrexham and although Peterborough have had no direct contact due to Preston currently under a transfer embargo it is likely that an offer wil be made once Preston are allowed to deal in the transfer market hopefully later this summer.
