Nash has been associated with North End for eight years, acting as the corporate adviser to the board and he was responsible for fund-raising through share issues and advised on the flotation of the club, who hold their annual general meeting next Monday, on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.

"I would like to thank all the shareholders who invested in the company over the past few years," said Nash. "This allowed the club to make substantial progress, both in the playing and financial sides of the club.

"In addition, I would like to pay respect to the executive management team, and in particular to chief executive, Tony Scholes, for their management skills in both generating the necessary income and profit in order that the club may

ultimately reach the Premier Division and complete the development of Deepdale."
