Speculation was rife after Neil was caught with Peter Ridsdale on Monday afternoon at Deepdale. The club have now announced that Neil has been offered a 12 month rolling contract to take charge.
There will be a press conference with a formal unveiling on Wednesday before the first pre-season game against Bamber Bridge later in the week.
