New stand Latest

We were told in pre-season that the stand was close to being demolished. Contract talks in august had been ongoing for 12 months and were set to be signed with the NHS who would pay for two thirds of the stand. The deal was to be finalised in September with the homematch against Barnsley the last for fans in the Pavilion. The deal wasn't signed. We waited until January for the NHS to sign. The meeting was delayed. We were told at the end of January the deal was signed - the Pavilion stand still remains. Opposing fans still point it out. Derek Shaw must like the banter but a day after Simpson said the Nugent deal must be done before the end of the month we find out a day for the demolition for the new stand - call me a cynic but did the sale of Nugent have any bearing on the construction of the new stand!
