Norwich Make Official Approach For Whaley

It was Blackpool manager, Ian Holloway who set tongues wagging by saying he had made an enquiry for Whaley but was told the winger was heading for Norwich. Today, North End confirmed Norwich's interest but nothing further has been revealed.

It is expected that a deal will be completed later this week freeing up space in the squad for Irvine to bring in at least one of his two targets.

North End take on Bamber Bridge and Chorley tomorrow without Whaley but also St Ledger, Elliott, Mawene and Henderson will be missing through slight knocks.
