Vermijl has become the forgotten man at Preston. Signed by Grayson, he has not featured under Alex Neil even when Preston were down to the bare bones defensively earlier in the season.
Alan Browne has played right back ahead of Vermijl who has been out in the cold since the summer. A loan deal was finally agreed late into the evening on transfer deadline day.
The defender will now remain at Scunthorpe on loan for the remainder of the season.
