Pre-Season Over And Out

North End played their final friendly of the pre-season as they put five past League One Fleetwood. Preston were behind when Bolger opened the scoring for Fleetwood before Huntington equalised in the first half.

The second half was a much better affair with Barkhuizen, Johnson and Horgan all netting before an own goal from Coyle meant Preston finished winners by a margin of 5-1.

Pre-season has been fairly consistent in terms of performances and results. The only loss came to Burnley who were the toughest side Preston faced.

Alex Neil can be encouraged with the draw against Newcastle and the way they scored a hatful against Fleetwood who only just missed out on promotion to the Championship last season.
