John Welsh has signed a two year deal at Preston after moving on a Bosman free transfer. The midfielder was rumoured to have been in talks with the club last week.
Welsh has been at Tranmere having an impressive run of games in the centre of midfield. He was offered terms to stay on the Wirral as well as from other clubs but he choose to come to Preston as part of the rebuilding process.
