Preston Held By MK

Grayson changed the defence which had performed well recently with Buchanan sitting int he stands replaced at left back by Laird. Preston lined up in a 4-4-2 formation with Davies perntering Beckford up front.

The Whites started the game well at a high tempo and looked to get on the front foot. Unfortuntaley, they were unable to conver their possession with Davies wasting Preston's best chance by slicing over with only the keeper to beat after a neat move by the home side.

Preston were made to pay when MK Dons took the lead 6 minutes before the break. Wiseman was beaten and did not follow his man who passed a ball across the six yard box which was tapped in by Baker. Clarke and Wiseman appeared to blame each other for not tracking the attacker who put the ball in the box.

The goal took the stuffing out of Preston but the home side came back int he second half. Beckfors was constantly playing in an offside positiona nc clearly lacked confidence but Preston managed to pull a goal back.

Davies managed to keep the ball in play and headed back across the box where Wiseman was waiting to volley home the equaliser which was deserved for the home side who did much of the attcking.

Grayson has admitted that he needs reinforcements in January due to injuries but Preston lie just four points behind the leaders and travel to Notts County on Tuesday in the Area Semi-Final of the JPT.
