Wilson is set to leave Liverpool on loan in January to gain some first team experience and reports have linked the midfielder with a move to Preston although Rangers are also reportedly interested.
There will be players incoming in January and the Preston ethos of recent times has been to obtain younger players if possible. The midfield is one area centrally where Preston could look to strengthen as they bolster their options for the second half of the season.
