Preston's Poor Form Continues

There will be arguments over penalties but ultimately Preston showed nothing in this game going forward save for the final twenty minutes after three subsitutions.

Preston hit a rough patch every year. It's often combined with a number of injuries. Last year North End sufred a blip over the festive period and this season it appears to have arrived early.

Whilst Preston played well in the first part of the season they are a team who has shown over the past few seasons that they cannot be consistent over a sutained period of time.

They were undone easily on Saturday by a side who had not won since October and had failed to keep a clean sheet all season. Eze scored both goals with the first a rebound off Rudd from his own shot. The second was from the spot after Rudd was adjudged to have brought down the attacking player.

There were no moments where Preston threatened their hosts apart from the very end when Nugent, Bodin and Harrop were brought on to give some thrust to the side.

North End have lost attacking invention and looked poor going forward. They drop out of the top six and on present form it is difficult to see them returning anytime soon.
