The attacking winger has only really been a Preston player in name since signing under former boss Simon Grayson. Pringle was on the fringes and at the start of this season joined Grimsby on loan.
The loan deal was meant to last the full season but this was cancelled allowing Pringle to move to Tranmere for the remainder of the season where he will be looking for a more permanent move.
