It is no secret that Preston are searching for a right back. Grayson admitted that a bid had been made but the full back decided to move to Sunderland for a fee in the region of £1 million.
It is unlikely that Preston matched Sunderland's bid and I suspect the full back preferred the chance of Premier League football. Preston's search for a full back continues with the transfer deadline approaching.
