Life long fan Derek Shaw has decided to ignore the minority of boo boys at Deepdale, and stay at PNE as chairman.
Shaw made his decision public on Wednesday, after thinking things through for a week and a half, after fans at Deepdale were shouting for his head against Walsall.
He said of his decision: “I’ve had more than a week to reflect on my position at Preston. And with that I’ve had plenty of encouraging letters and phone calls urging me to carry on.
“There’s been a few, but little, telling me to go but the majority have been supportive, telling me the Directors at PNE are doing a good job.
“I’m ever so grateful for that support – we all are. So hopefully it’s upwards for PNE from here.”
