Alex Neil is without a man up top who can score. Nmecha has been at Deepdale for half a season and has failed to find the net. He has had a frustrating time but many now believe he simply isn't ready for this level.
Moult is out injured alongside top scorer Robinson and Maguire who seems to be permanently on the treatment table. Simpson has been on loan at Hyde but the youngster has now been recalled given the shortage of frontmen.
The striker has rarely featured since singing and has spent this season out on loan. It is unclear how long he will remain at Deepdale if Neil makes furtehr signings in January with another loan more likely.
