The central defender was offered a new deal at Preston several months ago alongside a numebr of other players. Wright is the only player not to have signed a new deal.
It is far from ideal for the club as Wright''s contract expires in the summer and so Preston may look to cash in on the defender in the upcoming January transfer window.
Bristol City are interested in the defender and whilst Preston have plenty of options at the back Wright has been a regular over the past couple of seasons.
