Coventry have struggled this season and taking into consideration their torrid record at Deepdale this should have been a straight forward home win but Preston's form since the turn of the year has been poor in the league.

Grayson started off with a back three of Woods Huntington and Clarke although Woods went off injured int he first half to be replaced by Wiseman and is a doubt for tomorrow's game at Chesterfield.

Johnson started in midfield and looked lively on his home debut. Garner was also on the bench and came on in the second half which was another outing for the forward after recovering from a knee injury.

The goal came early int he game with Gallagher crossing a peach of a ball into the box. Dvaies lost his marker and managed to head past the keeper for his 150th carerr goal. He had been waiting for over 12 months.

Preston should have taken full advantage but could not force a second goal and towards the end were retreating back into their own box in a nervy last few minutes.

Fleck hit the bar from range for the visitors and Preston were fortunate that the away side did not manage to find the net. Preston need to move on and try to grit out a few results over the next few weeks to try and haul themselves back up the table.
