The pitch was plagued with divots and the wind was swirling making for a bad game. The two teams between them failed to inspire more than a handful of chances through the ninety minutes. On top of all that the officials were pretty poor throughout.

Blackpool edged the first half with a couple of long range shots well saved by Lonergan and a free kick whistling close. Carter for Preston had afree kick well saved.

Preston played better in the second and forced the game with pressure. Sedgewick was felled inside the box but like every other major decision the refereee favoured the home side.

All in all the game was void of any quality which wpould have won the game. Preston carry on their unbeaten run and hope that this is a point closer to safety.
