Preston managed to continue their winning form as they put two goals past a struggling Wolves side. The away team managed only one shot on goal late on in the second half as Carlo Nash managed to keep another clean sheet.

Preston took the lead just before the break when Lewis Neal had a shot deflected from outside the box which ended up past the stranded keeper.

Manager Davies made changes with Mawene rested and Sedgwick on the bench. The right winger came on late in the game to put in a swirling cross for Ormerod to head home. However, the striker was stretchered off after colliding with keeper and defender.

Dichio and Hill both got run outs but Davies will be hoping that Ormerod remains fit to enhance his striking options going into the play offs.
