Preston Hold Unbeaten City

Preston started well with the early impetus. Unfortunately, little was created which has been the story of Preston's season so far. Only a shot by Hwley forcing a smart save from the City keeper saw the away side stretched.

Preston had  alot of the ball with the same side that played at Cardiff except for Hawley replacing Agyemang. They huffed and puffed but could not break down the visitors. To be fair Bristol City did little to show why they were undefeated this season showing no adventure.

The second half saw the visitors come more into the game without forcing Lonergan into any significant saves. Late on city created the bext chance with a long ball int he box and a good piece of skill leaving Mawene for dead before a shot against the bar. That was the most exciting part of the match.

Mellor and Agyemang came on but could not break the deadlock. Preston need to start scoring soon if they are to progress but today thankfully the defence made no silly mistakes and lept a clean sheet to what was an inept performance by Bristol City.
