Preston Rooted In The Bottom Three

Preston have not won away from home all season with Palace only winning once at home so far this term. It was hardly going to be a classic.

Irvine changed the formation to one up front with Agyemang the lone striker supported by Whaley in a free role. The rest of the team remained the same.

Preston took the lead through Mawene but within minutes the lead was lost as Morrison struck to equalise. On the stroke of half time Hill put Palace into the lead. Preston were lacking concentration at times in defence which has bene a common feature throughout the season.

Irvine, if he did not know before, must now realise that he has a big task on his hands to get this team out of the relgation zone and up the table as Preston are level on points with bottom side Norwich who have now won two in a row.
