Preston Undone By Set Pieces Again

Preston have only won twice all season and this record is not one that will maintain their position in the run in for play off places come the end of the season.

Preston were one down early on thanks to Helguson although prior to this ex-North Ender Agyemang missed a sitter from three yards out. The Whites did level the scores soon after as a Mckenna cross was flicked in by Sedgewick for his first goal of the campaign.

Helguson then netted the second of his afternoon from a set piece. The ball was whipped in. Preston could not clear and Helguson headed beyong Lonergan.

Once again Preston came back into the game as st Ledfer was fouled by the Rangers keeper in the box. Davidson converted the spot kick but it was not enough for the visitors.

With less than ten minutes to go another set piece undid the North End back four. A ball into the box found Blackstock who was free to head home.

Preston now face two games before the end of the year in the hope of trying to find some consistency as they enter the second half of the season.
