Simpson will get his first taste of a local derby after previously being at Carlisle where a derby game meant at least a 100 mile journey!

The manager has plenty to choose from compared to the start of the season when the squad was decimated with injury. Dichio is set to start after his recent spree despite taking training easy this week due to a sore back. Due to the suspension of David Nugent, Agyemang who was on red hot form before injury is set to start up front. The Ghanian was set to be fit last weekend but was not risked.

Oremeros will provide back up on the bench will Neil Mellor still three weeks away from fitness after being operated on earlier today.

The midfield and defence is likely to remain the same and Simpson will be hoping that the Whites can take something away from Turf Moor to carry on their current 11 game league unbeaten run.

Preston have yet to perform to their potential this season except in patches against Wolves and West Brom yet find themselves second in the table. They have beaten those close to them in the table such as Cardiff and West Brom but Friday night will prove to be a tough test for Simpson ahead of Leeds on Tuesday night. He will hope the home crowd do not sway the referee and that Preston can get the ball down and play some good attacking football.

If Preston are allowed to play then they will be hopeful of picking up something at Burnley to carry the momentum forward.
