The Canaries Fly North

Norwich battled hard but were defeated to Prmiership Champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge whilst Preston went down to Manchester City at Deepdale.

Preston now have 14 remaining league games, one more than most of their play off rivals in a chase for promotion. Norwich come to Deepdale in Preston's second of three matches this week.

A win is much needed to erase the past two home defeats and establish themselves in the promotion race as many of the other top teams are playing each other throughout the week.

Soley made his debut against Man City so Simpson must decide if the back four remains the same of whether St Ledger will come back in.

Pavel Pergl has yet to set foot on the Deepdale turf but was on the bench for the Cup clash and with so many games in such a short space of time he will be pushing Sedgewick close for a midfield spot.

The formation is likely to remain at 4-4-2 with Ricketts looking to miss out through injury along with Ormerod. Nugent will start but either Agyemang, Mellor or Dichio will be starting alongside him.
