Departures And A Call Up

It was today revealed that with Andy Lonergan coming close to fitness and the emergence of young keeper Chris Neal, Gavin Ward will leave the club during the close season. Ward has featured mostly as back up for the Whites and at 35 years of age his opportunities were limited at the club.

Youngster Mark Jackson has also been released on a free transfer after failing to break into the first team. He is set to be assessing his options.

Marcus Stewart has also returned to Bristol City after his loan spell ended with the play off disappointment.

On a brighter note, Claude Davis caps off a remarkable season by being called up to the Jamaica squad to face Ghana and England.
