Lonergan has been linked with moves to Blackpool, Burnley and West Brom with the latter being the only club to make a firm approach with three bids rejected. Ferguson has warned any potential interested parties that Preston would only sell the keeper for £20 million.
Although this is a little tongue in cheek with rumours suggesting a bid in the region of £2.5 million would see Lonergan leave, Ferguson is clearly determined to ward off other clubs with such a high valuation and further it shows that Preston will only sell if the price is right.
