Rumours had surfaced that Preston were interested in taking the attacking youngster on loan from Everton. Much depended on a deal that was pending regarding Joshua King and his proposed move to Everton.
Late on deadline day King managed to agree terms to move to Everton which freed up Gordon to be loaned out to Preston until the end of the season.
It will be intreresting to now see how Preston fit all of the new loan signings into the matchday squad. In reality it may well take some time to get some cohesion with the new recruits and it will be interesting to see whether they can gel and form some sort of consistency with respect to results.
