The winger certainly had a black mark against his name. Alex Neil brought int he youngster at the start of the season as a forward option. Green had scored goals for Villa last season int heir promotion run but for some unknown reason Neil failed to use the forward beyond a few appearances early in the season.
Many have questioned the use of such a loan. Green has not progressed and he has just been taking up space in a squad where Preston could have used the wages for something else.
It will be interesting to see if a replacement is brought in on loan for the remainder of the season.
